Education in Translation and Interpretation

I hold a degree in Translation and Interpretation from Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Seville, Spain). My main languages are Spanish (my native language), English and French. During my four years of study (2021–2025), I developed a wide range of skills and knowledge, with a particular focus on localization (website, software and video game translation) and translation technologies.

Specialization and Languages

In the coming months, I will pursue a master’s degree specializing in localization, artificial intelligence and translation technologies. In the meantime, I continue to train in various areas of translation. Notable examples include the XIII Medical Translation Course (Menéndez Pelayo International University, Santander), which covered patent translation, chemical translation, public health translation, AI, and productivity. I also completed Natzir Turrado’s course, “Basic Principles of SEO,” which was particularly useful. Regarding languages, I hold the DELF B2 from the French Ministry of National Education, and I will soon take the C1 Advanced exam from Cambridge English. Additionally, I was awarded a research initiation scolarship (March to July 2025) at Universidad Pablo de Olavide, where I trained in various translation and research tools and developed other professional competencies.

Experience

Although I am a recent graduate, I already have some experience as a professional translator:

  • Freelance Translator (2025 – present).

  • Basilippo (2023 – present): ES>EN translation of website, visit scripts, and other documents related to olive oil and oleotourism | Assistance with guided tours in Spanish and English | Bilingual content creator and community manager.

  • Nueva Dietética (January – May 2025): Translation, revision, and post-editing EN/FR into ES and vice versa of nutrition, dietetics, and cosmetics texts: catalogs, sales sheets, technical sheets, fair presentations, etc.

I have worked with great attention to detail, organization and peripheral learning in professional environments where communication and teamwork with other professionals are key.

A proactive and versatile profile

In recent years, I have participated in numerous certified workshops and other events at Universidad Pablo de Olavide. Notably, I attended workshops on professional editing and proofreading, literary translation and French culture, and graphic medicine translation, demonstrating my thematic versatility as a translator. Other highlights include volunteering at the 47th AEDEAN Conference and presenting at the VI A los Pies de Babel Congress for translation students. At the latter, I presented my successful Bachelor’s Thesis, an analysis of olive oil labeling in Spanish and English.
